Polyvios Pratikakis

Following his undergraduate studies in Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and his PhD in Computer Science with the University of Maryland, Dr Polyvios Pratikakis has spent his career in research at the leading edge of software and storage.
As well as his graduate research in the United States, he spent time working with the Verimag Laboratory in Grenoble before returning to Greece, first with the Institute of Computer Science (ICS), then with the University of Crete – where he is now an Assistant Professor.
Dr Pratikakis has worked on a variety of HPC and energy efficient computing projects, and today leads the System Software and Programming Environment for the EuroEXA project.
