Peter Hopton is a Green IT Entrepreneur and the innovator behind Iceotope – a server cooling technology that harnesses liquid-filled blades to deliver a step-change in energy efficiency. Now, as well as leading key EU engagements with Iceotope, he is also the founder and non-executive director of the VeryPC Group – a group of multi-award-winning companies that manufacture energy-efficient desktops for education and providing all-inclusive IT services.
He is also chair of both the Data Centre Strategy and Future Computing Systems committees at the British Computer Society (the Chartered Institute for IT), as well as being a regular speaker on issues around sustainability and technology at national and international conferences.
